One of the best things about being in Kansas is having access to local farmers and farmers markets. For more than 50 years, Kansas I-70 has helped Kansas farmers get their products to their customers. Take a drive down I-70 and treat yourself to fresh local produce, farm fresh eggs, handmade items, fresh baked breads and desserts, spices and more.


The Goodland Farmers Market hosts weekly, Saturday Markets from 8:00-11:00am. The market is a seasonal open air market which is closed during the winter season. You can shop fresh, locally grown seasonal produce, farm fresh eggs, homemade jams & jellies, fresh baked desserts & breads, breakfast burritos, Old Westport Spices, and locally crafted handmade items.


The Colby Thomas County Farmers Market is located in our beautiful Fike Park, in downtown Colby. Open every Saturday from 9:00 am until noon, from now until the beginning of October. There is a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats. Fresh baked breads and cinnamon rolls, and many more baked goods. Plenty of jams and jellies to choose from. Homemade Candies, snacks, and other treats. Also crafts of all kinds.

Every Saturday during the growing season select from homegrown produce and homemade goodies at the WaKeeney Farmers Market. The selection will vary throughout the season. Some of the homegrown produce might include tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, onions, summer squash, rhubarb, new potatoes, and beets. Some of the possible homemade goodies might include cookies and zucchini bread. The Farmer’s Market is located at 408 Russell Ave. in Downtown WaKeeney, on the west side of the City Building.

The Downtown Hays Market opens regularly on Saturdays 7:30-11:00am inside the Downtown Hays Pavilion between Main and Oak Streets. Join us as we welcome growers, craftsmen, bakers, honey producers, artists and musicians.  Items for purchase include fresh produce, cut flowers, live plants, baked goods, honey, jams and handcrafted items, including jewelry, soaps and more! Open through October.

A fresh produce market is available Wednesdays 5:00-7:00pm and Saturdays 8:00-11:00am in the Orschlen Farm and Home parking lot. Open through August.

The Downtown Hays Market


Russell’s Area Farmers Market takes place the First Friday in June – Mid October every year. If you are in Russell for a weekend trip with you family stop by our local farmers market at 385 N Van Houten St in Russell from 5pm – 6:30pm. Geary County

The Geary Community Farmers Market is open on Thursdays, 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the parking lot at JC Naz Church, 1025 S. Washington in Junction City. You’ll find fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, honey, meats, and more produced by local farmers and gardeners. You’ll also find bath and home products made by local artisan crafters. Vendors are spread out and walkways are wide for social distancing. Vendors will stay throughout the entire market.


The downtown farmer’s market of Manhattan was established in 1979 and is one of the oldest markets in the state. Located in downtown Manhattan it serves the community as a place for fresh produce and locally grown food.  At the farmers market you can find things like locally grown meat, honey jams, household decor, candles and fresh baked items.

The Manhattan Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 8:00am – 1:00pm April through the last Saturday in October. The Wednesday Market is open 4:00pm – 7:00pm starting in May through the last Wednesday in September. Each Third Thursday from May – October head to downtown Shawnee for the Moonlight Market. It’s more than a farmer’s market, it’s a full on street festival! And best of all it’s located right in Shawnee City Hall’s parking lot just across the street from a variety of local restaurants and two breweries!

Kansas City
